Conclusion
Science, like faith, is not the study of a dead subject. But Christ is alive in both. Just as you can never “completely know” your best friend, spouse or child, so our object of faith and science is a living being. Complex. Unpredictable. Yet somehow, unchanging, the same person. Scientific truth, religious truth, are all God's truth, revealed in his son, The Truth.
Thus the Trinity teaches us how we are to approach both aspects of Truth: Incarnation, Substitution, Sanctification.
Depend on, Rely on, Request the Holy Spirit in all your endeavors, scientific and spiritual. Only then can we make progress. Read Augustine's Confessions to see it in action. It's a marvelous journey, well worth taking. Godspeed!
