Facts, Laws and Death
Let's define kook=a person who disbelieves a Law of Nature.
Why would one disbelieve a Law? (Trinities)
- 1) found it profitable to ignore/disobey/deny the Law
- 2) didn't like the person who wrote/taught/gave the Law
- 3) has a insight/argument/revelation that abrogates the Law
Christians, like the Jews of Paul's day, distrust new religions. This thing about “Conservation of Energy” sounds like a religion. What keeps the water-mills going? The hydrologic cycle. And what keeps the rain falling? The Sun. And what keeps the Sun going? Hydrogen. And what keeps the Hydrogen going? The Big Bang. And what got the Big Bang going? --See what I mean? Everybody's got their faith in unprovable Laws. Would you accept this Energy thing if it were written by an atheist, preached by an atheist, and profits atheism?
So Laws/Rules Polarize people. Romans 7.
