Many ancient sciences foundered when they could not face the consequences of their own law. Pythagoras drowned the guy who discovered irrational numbers. Socrates drank hemlock. Aristotle ignored the falling ball problem. How can old Laws accommodate the new? How does one switch paradigms? How does one avoid Hegel's infinite regress?
Christ satisfied all the requirements of the Law, and went beyond them. Rom 8:3. Paul says the Law is good. 7:7. Both polarities are right. Christ is 100% divine, and 100% human.
Science could progress, not by destroying Newton's Laws, but by going beyond them, while incorporating them. God permitted us to find “meta”-laws. Matter-molecules-atoms-protons-quarks-?-Christ. Because the biggest meta law of all, is Christ himself. Christ ends the polarities by incorporating them both. The world is understood both by experiment and theory. It is both complex and simple, elegant and interesting, the means and the end. True balance is achieved by Christ himself.
